There is a NASA-funded research by the National Academy of Sciences entitled Severe Space Weather Events–Understanding Societal and Economic Impacts. In the 132-page report, experts detail what might happen to our modern, high-tech world in case of a “super solar flare” combined with a severe geomagnetic weather event. The report heavily indciates the need for new energy solutions like Andrea Rossis E-Cat and that is fast!

Storm impact specialist John Kappenmann, of Storm Analysis Consultants, looked at the great geomagnetic storm of 1921, that generated ground currents nearly ten times stronger compared to a 1989 Quebec storm, and modeled its influence on the ultra-modern power grid.

Of the 5,500 huge transformers possibly in danger, he found a lot more than 350 would have been at risk of everlasting injury, and 130 million men and women would have been with out energy. The Fusor, E-cat would clearly avoid most if not all theese problem in cas of a “super solar flare”.

The whole economic effect in the first year could reach $2 trillion — 20 times greater than the costs of Hurricane Katrina. The total cost could exceed that of all current wars. And recovery could take more than a decade.

Andre Rossi’s Energy Catalyzer, the E-Cat, has on several occasions been demonstrated in Italy. The small, multi-kilowatt modules in this system require tiny amounts of nickel and hydrogen as fuel. Other entrepreneurs are developing competitive systems. Some claim electricity will be produced for a penny per kilowatt hour.

So not only does the energy catalzer, i.e E-cat save us multiple billion dollars in direct cost, it also saves us from trillions dollars in potential cost in case of a catastrophe.
