Over the course of the last month more and more entities seem to have woken up to the reality of the Rossi’s invention and various E-Cat info pieces circulating the web. If at first the mainstream media outlets and big shots in the energy departments avoided the subject, rolled their eyes and looked and acted as though nothing was taking place, they later began waking up and had to come to terms with the cold fusion/LENR reality that is setting in before our very eyes. It’s hard to avoid it now, as more and more media entities (Forbes, msnbc, Daily Mail, Discovery News, Wired UK, Fox News, to name a few) pick up the story and publish some E-Cat info.
Not so long ago NASA published their “endorsement” of the LENR developments, and apparently NASA’s endorsement help clarify issues for the US Department of Energy as well. At least this is how it reads in the letter of Albert Opdenaker of the Office of Fusion Energy Sciences in response to the question he was asked concerning Rossi and E-Cat info and LENR in general. “My change of mind was a direct result of talking to Dr. Dennis Bushnell, the Chief Scientist for NASA Langley who has assured me that over 100 experiments worldwide indicate that LENR is real, capable of producing energy much greater than chemical reactions… Bushnell says it does work. He believes that the Rossi demonstrations suggest that LENR may produce “useful” quantities of heat.”
It sounds plausible enough, but on the other hand it’s a personal endorsement and not the DOE’s official statement – “I do not pretend to speak for the whole department or even for a small part of it.” But in and of itself this is a very helpful hint for what’s to come.
